This large serving bowl (shown with Wild Cherry Serving Set) is riven and hand-carved from a section of white poplar trunk, and finished with traditional textured gouge-work for a classic, rustic charm. Poplar takes on a unique silky sheen that can only be achieved by hand-planing and hand-smoothing. Finished in all-natural, food-safe flax oil, this bowl is meant for everyday use, and to be handed down from generation to generation.
