This hand-carved alder spoon is riven from sustainably-harvested, locally-grown alder, straight from the homestead! Alder is one of the first woods to colonize cleared areas, and a great resource as we clear farmland again. The handle, shaped like a bird’s tail, is curved to follow the natural grain of the wood, using traditional tools and old-world craftsmanship methods. Finished in all-natural, food-safe flax oil, this spoon is meant for everyday use, and to be handed down from generation to generation.
Fully sealed with all-natural flax oil and ready for all uses.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26, KJV)
