The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. (Psalm 111:10, KJV)
This is a year of many new beginnings for us. Beginning a small business, beginning a website, beginning to share on Instagram, beginning to sign up for local craft fairs…Moving to Maine, just a few years ago, was a new beginning, beginning a new life in a place where the Lord led our family when we asked where we should begin to put down roots.
Each day is a new beginning. We rarely know exactly what it will hold. Everyday, Joe simply prays, and follows what the Lord has him to work on, for that day. It may be building a sink out of wood, it may be researching finishes, both modern and traditional. It may be working through a stack of greenwood to rough out spoons and boxes. It may be making tools to make more projects in the future.
We look forward, by the grace of God, to many new beginnings, and we hope you will join us in our journey to create something from a tree for your home!
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. (Lamentations 3:22-24, KJV)
