Sounds of the Workshop

On this particular day, I had the pleasure of being joined in the workshop by my three kids: Asher (age 11), Spencer (age 10), and Genevieve (age 7). We were all working on bolts of poplar logs, and it turned into quite a symphony!

You’re listening to:
Joe on the adze, hollowing out a bowl…
Asher on the scrub plane, leveling off the top surface for a bowl…
Vivi on the maul and froe, riving out pieces for a bench…
Spencer on the sledge and wedges, splitting out pieces for a bowl and bench…
And these are just a few of the sounds of the workshop, when you’re working by hand!
